Delete your Kifayat account and data

This page explains how to permanently delete your Kifayat account — the app published by Devkal — together with every piece of data associated with it.

Fastest — immediate

Option 1 · Delete it yourself, in the app

If Kifayat is still installed, you can delete your account yourself. It takes about ten seconds and happens immediately — no request, no waiting on us.

  1. Open Kifayat and sign in.
  2. Go to Settings.
  3. Tap Data & privacy.
  4. Tap Delete everything.
  5. Type the confirmation phrase and confirm.

Your account is erased from our servers first, and the copy on your phone is wiped immediately afterwards.

If you have already uninstalled

Option 2 · Ask us to delete it

Uninstalling the app does not delete your account. If Kifayat is gone from your phone and you would rather not reinstall it, email us and we will delete the account for you.

Send an email from the address you signed up with — that is how we confirm the account is yours — with the subject Delete my account:

Email support@devkal.com

We will confirm and complete the deletion within 30 days, and usually much sooner. We will not ask you for a reason, and we will not try to talk you out of it.

What gets deleted

Everything. Specifically:

Deletion is permanent and cannot be reversed. We cannot restore a deleted account, so export your data first if you want to keep a copy — the app can produce a PDF statement or a CSV file from Settings → Export.

What is kept, and for how long

DataKept for
Your account and all its records, on our live systems Deleted immediately
Residual copies inside our encrypted backups Purged within 30 days
The data held on your own phone Wiped by the in-app deletion, or removed when you uninstall the app

We hold no profile of your spending, so there is nothing of that sort left behind — it was never collected.

Two things deletion does not reach: crash reports and usage analytics. Neither is attached to your account, so there is no link along which to find and remove them. Crash reports age out after 90 days; analytics events age out on Google's own schedule. Neither contains your financial data, your email address, or anyone's name, so there is nothing in them to delete. The privacy policy lists exactly what each one contains.

Deleting only the copy on your phone

If you want to clear your device but keep your account, the app has a separate control for that: Settings → Data & privacy → Clear this device. It wipes the local copy and pulls your data back down from your account. Your account is untouched.
